Would you help us carry up the offertory gifts?

At the start of the school year, we also reintroduced the Offertory Procession.  The gifts being carried up represent us and our lives that we’d like to be transformed along with the hosts, wine and water. Since it’s been a little confusing on who is going to be carrying up the gifts, let’s try this.  If the Mass is being offered for your loved one, consider sending a family member or two to carry up the gifts.  To let the ushers know that someone is planning on doing this ministry, please go to the gift table off the middle aisle when you arrive.  There will be a paper there for you to sign.  If the Mass is offered for more than one person, and persons from both families want to walk up, that is great!  When do you go to the gift table?  Wait for the ushers to come past your row with the collection basket, then get up and go the gift table.  As soon as you see Fr. Ron standing at the front of the aisle, bring him up the gifts.  If no one signs up on sheet on the gift table, the ushers can presume that no one is planning on bringing up the gifts and they can then ask anyone to step in.

There is usually a Sunday Mass where the Mass intention is for the living and deceased members of St. Mary Parish.  On these days we would need families to carry up the gifts.  Would you like to put your family on call for these occasions?  If you would share with us a cell phone number with us then a text can be sent to you asking if you are free on that occasion to carry up the gifts. (Send a message to sisterteresita@metalink.net and indicate what Mass you usually come to.)
