Order of Christian Initiation for Adults

The Church is for everyone:

“the Church is catholic because she has been sent out by Christ on a mission to the whole of the human race” Catechism of the Catholic Church, 831.

Like every journey, the path to the Catholic Church is different depending on where you start. Here are a few starting points:

I am not baptized
Those who have never been baptized join the Order of Christian Initiation (OCIA).

I was baptized in another denomination
Those who are baptized in another Christian Denomination join the Catholic Church by making a profession of faith in the Church and completing their initiation by receiving the Sacraments of the Eucharist and Confirmation. In many parishes, those coming into full communion with the Church receive formation along with those in the OCIA.

I was baptized Catholic, but I have been going to another church or have not gone to Mass in a long time

If you were Baptized Catholic, you are a Catholic. If you want to go back to Mass, contact Father to have a conversation. To start practicing your faith again, you need to go to Confession. If you have not received some of the sacraments in the Church, we can help.
